Flowers…

for the bees…for pollination…..for aesthetics…..pretty flowers…

 

The sunflowers seem slow this year….the above one is the most advanced …the others are way behind….the bees love them all and that is the main thing…..

Part two….

it happened…and I missed it and baby beat me to it….mummy mummy the lily opened up!!!!! subhan’Allah….

The other lilies around are not far from opening up either….insh’Allah ….

I was thinking to reserve a corner for flowers in the allotment too. It does not have to be all practical….a bit of colour and simply for aesthetics won’t do any harm , plus the bees will be happy ….yes, a visit to the local garden center is definitely needed…..

I’m going to miss it…..

and there’s no much I can do about it…..it never ceases to amaze me….subhan’Allah……in the last few hours , gradual subtle changes….and I know, I just know that when I check first thing in the morning the lily will be open…..subhan’Allah…..I could be wrong and I might be able to witness it but then it wouldn’t be the same…..I just think is almost magical…..

This morning in my garden…

Early , very early this morning I was out there in the garden to water the veg…We are watering them twice a day in this heat…I was so pleasantly surprised to see little tomatoes growing, little round green balls telling me that soon we will have sweet juicy red cherry tomatoes to add to our salads…insh’Allah…

The runner beans are…running… but plenty of flowers so plenty of hope…insh’Allah…another few days and things will start happening on the beans front too…

And at the back…the flowers are doing pretty well too…hydrangeas made an appearance a couple of days ago and so did the carnations…

“And what about my water?” wanted to know the little one…of course, how could I forget…such little garden so much joy…alhamdulilah…

First time…

my cherry tree blossoms…so beautiful…nothing like spring signs…so promising…so tender…so refreshing…

Our first camelia japonica …I wish I could fast forward 20 years to see what this little plant of mine looks like when is fully grown and full of flowers…

My first experience of fuse interfacing…sure is a learning curve…a couple of times I have wanted to throw the towel but with the help of my online friends/mentors I’m getting there…there’s more to sewing a simple dress than I ever imagined…

and the very first time I share my weight here….and I wish it was the first time I dieted…I’m so tired of battling with my weight …tired of being overweight…tired of trying and actually many a times getting to my goal and then downhill again…tired of being unhappy with my body…anyways ….here we go again…going on a carb free lifestyle…maybe I should start a new page to track my progress or lack of it…and maybe if I share my ups and downs here…maybe an element of public humiliation might do the trick…or maybe I’m meant to be fat …..que sera sera…
