a.k.a dumplings…. dumplings and I go a long way back…when dd20 was a baby she was looked after by a Chinese sister, who not only cared for her as her own but also taught me how to cook….I remember most fondly the many hours we spent wrapping wontons in the middle of the night, after our dhs and babies were in bed ( she lived two floors below us)….but I digress and you are all waiting impatiently for the recipe so here we go….
Perfect wontons recipe
- Google the perfect wonton recipe….we are visuals over here so this one was the perfect match….
- Drive to the nearest Chinese Supermarket….we are regulars at Wing Yip…they have everything oriental you could possibly need and I mean EVERYTHING and then some more….
- Have some fun in the kitchen..don’t forget to take some pictures for posterity
- Serve them with your favourite dips…ours was rice vinegar, soy sauce and chili oil mix
- and ENJOY……
I swear they are easy peasy to make and so so so nice…..

P.S they freeze very well and you can fry, steam or boil them.
P.S.S…you can fill them with any mince …ours are mince turkey with cabbage and Chinese mushrooms
