Busy March…

not in the writing mood so I think pics will be best πŸ˜†

As I mentioned earlier I’m not in a writing mood so I’ll just add a little commentary ( because I still do not know how to do it when uploading the pics…) and then I’ll be gone again to the land of lazyday.

Reading is one of my hobbies if not the #1. I recommend all three books. Still reading ‘The Secret Scripture’ but I feel is going to be a good read too.

I’m making steady but good progress on the tapestry. I got myself the ring gadget and it’s somehow easier and faster or is it because I’m getting better at it after all the hours…

Back in January dd13 joined the sewing club in her school and surprisingly she is enjoying it so much that we have ended up buying a sewing machine. Yes, I know , me of all people!!!! I can not begin to tell you how much fun we are both having. It’s hard to tell if it’s the end result or the arguingbonding between us that I’m enjoying the most. Whatever the reason I’m loving every minute of it, from the recycling, to the planning and of course dd13’s pride so obvious on her face. Alhamdulilah for the little pleasures in life.

Also dd8 and dd10 are keeping themselves busy in the kitchen or rather keeping me busy in the kitchen. They have both been promoted to salad chefs and believe you me they do a great job. I only give them the list of ingredients I’m in the mood for and they produce a lovely to look at and really tasty saladΒ to eat salad. Mashallah.

They both had a go at chapatis last Sunday and not bad actually. Oh I can not wait for the day when they will take over my kitchen, inshallah.

Oh and remember the plant I nearly gave up on? Well guess what? Not only a third leaf is about to unravel but another one is peeking through. Subhanallah. Can you see it? I know is not big deal but to me, it is!!! Who knows this might be another one of my talents waiting to be discovered πŸ˜†

Ok I said I was not in the mood and I need to go and take a nap before little one wakes up. She is not well and I’ve been up with her part of the night.

Salaams and Hasta Pronto,

  5. Assalaamu Alaykum,

How nice ma sha Allah! It’s so good that you’re getting to do all these lovely things with the kids ma sha Allah.

I’ll take youre book recommendations. The last ok book I read was Crow Lake. But one I really liked from last year was The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton.

I think I need to try making chapattis too!
